Friday marked the end of a five-year employment for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Cluster Director of Corporate Sales Franklin Azzopardi, and he took to social media to reflect on his time at the company, describing it as an “great experience.”

He is leaving the company to serve as Director of Sales and Marketing at Cavalieri Art Hotel.

Mr Azzopardi joined InterContinental Malta as Key Account Director for Corporate in 2017, before being promoted to IHG Cluster Director of Corporate Sales in 2019. Before that he served several years in the sales department of AX Hotels.

Reflecting on his time at IHG, he gave particular thanks to his first General Manager and Director of Sales at InterContinental Malta: Martin Van Kan and Jesmond Debono, respectively.

He also expressed appreciation for the rest of his colleagues within the IHG “family” for their support throughout the past months.
