Betsson Group’s Director of Information Security, Matthew Sciberras celebrated five years at the company on Monday.

Announcing the milestone on LinkedIn, he commented: “It has been a great journey so far and I’ve learned a lot during these years.”

Mr Sciberras joined Betsson in March 2016, as Head of Internal IT Projects and Services. Before that, he worked as Senior IT Consultant and Technical Trainer at Domain Group Malta, Head of IT Infrastructure/ISMS Manager at Skillcast and in multiple positions at Atlas Technology Group.

He also founded MaltaICT in February 2003, which he operated for more than 14 years, offering companies value added services in Pen Testing, Security Posture Improvement, and Risk Analysis.

In an interview with Betsson Group, he explained how he got into the industry, saying “I was always computer savvy since when I was a kid. I have built my own computer when I was 11 years old and that had fascinated me”.

From those beginnings, he is now responsible for a variety of functions at the iGaming company, including Operational Security, policy enforcement and security management.

“Onwards and upwards,” he celebrates.
