Marketing specialist Huda Buhumaid has been appointed Director at Malta Properties Company plc (MPC), it announced on Monday. In doing so, she replaces Brigitte Zammit, who resigned from the position with immediate effect.
Apart from her new role, Mrs Buhumaid is also Chief Marketing Officer at Dubai Holding, where she is steering its marketing and communications strategy, overseeing branding, digital marketing, internal and external corporate communications, sustainability strategy, as well as leading award-winning employee and community engagement programmes across the group.
The company remarked that since she joined Dubai Holding in 2006, Mrs Buhumaid has contributed significantly to the success of a number of large-scale projects and strategic initiatives, including the launch of key attractions and institutions, while also driving the gender equality agenda at the firm.
In addition to this, she is a Board Member at Higher Colleges of Technology, the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University School of Business and Quality Management, Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation, Dubai Women’s Establishment, Dubai Waste Management Company, and also Certares Travel Ventures. Mrs Buhumaid is also Vice Chair of the Private Sector Advisory Council and a member of Dubai External Communications Committee for the Media Office of the Government of Dubai.
She is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Programme from United Arab Emirates (UAE) business school INSEAD. Additionally, she also holds a master’s degree (Hons.) in Organisation Excellence from University of Bradford, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai.
Through its extensive portfolio of office buildings and industrial properties, MPC has become a leading owner and developer of commercial properties in Malta, leasing them out to tenants with long duration leases. The company has local expertise and close relationships with its tenants, which include GO plc, EPIC Communications Ltd, and Finco Group, at “the core” of its approach.
