Clint Agius on Sunday announced that he is leaving Express Trailers Ltd after 22 years at the company.
Mr Agius, who served as Head of Domestic Operations at the transport and logistics company for the last seven years, remarked that his time there was a “very thorough and diversified experience”, before stating that the “most recent and challenging times in operations” being his “favourite”.
“I can assure you, it has been a very difficult decision to take and it was even more difficult to say goodbye! However, I decided it is now time for me to move on and embark on a new journey,” he said.
“I will certainly cherish many memories for the rest of time,” he added.
He proceeded to thank all his colleagues and friends for their friendship, and also the management team with whom he worked very closely. He also thanked the Board of Directors and the Vella family for their “trust and respect shown throughout the past years”.
Mr Agius first joined the company as Finance & Admin Executive in 2001, a position he served in for eight-and-a-half-years, before he was named Supervisor of the same department. He was then appointed Supervisor – Domestic Operations, and then Manager – Domestic Operations, before he was promoted to his most recent role.
Franco Azzopardi, who was at the helm at Express Trailers for 10 years as CEO, remarked that he has “proud and fond memories” of working with Mr Agius, seeing him “develop from humble yet important administrative positions, right up to C-suite quality”.
“You need no luck really because your acquired skill and capacity are your rock-solid bedrock. But I still wish for you all the very best,” Mr Azzopardi said.
