Creative Business Cup Malta has announced the finalists of this year’s competition, set to take place on 14th May.

Amongst the finalists, Luca Arrigo, of 3D design and game development studio, Decentraland, celebrated the recognition on Tuesday.

Amongst other finalists, there is ARTZ ID, a visual arts community with nearly 300 members in Malta, Frank Wrap, founded by Adriana Frank, which produces beeswax/ vegan wax wraps and candles, award-winning goldsmith and silversmith Tara Lois, and Kikkra Malta, a one-stop-online shop selling Maltese handmade products.

The competition, run by Culture Venture, in collaboration with Arts Council Malta, PwC Malta, and Malta Enterprise, is part of a global tournament, where the eventual winners from across the world will be able to compete in the Creative Business Cup Global Finals in Copenhagen, Denmark.

It aims to celebrate and champion creative industries – which it describes as a unique tribe of innovative disruptors aiming to change the world and impact the global economy.

Any Malta-registered start-up from the creative industries with a good business idea was eligible to enter the competition.

Finalists are due to receive one on one coaching from experienced business advisors from PwC Malta, mentoring and business development support by Malta Enterprise, and join the Creative Business Cup Malta network for creative enterprises.

Aside from the title of Winner, the eventual victor will get a spot in the Creative Business Academy at the end of May, a seat at the Creative Business Cup Global Finals in June, and a full pass to BRIGHT.
