Valhmor mainly deals with fresh and frozen foods, including meat, poultry, fish, seafood, vegetables and finger foods, which are acquired through the local market and imported from 35 countries. They are sold to the catering, wholesale and retail trades and delivered by the company’s own fleet of refrigerated trucks.

Valhmor was founded in 1975 by the late Valhmor Borg, one of the pioneers to trade in the cold storage business in Malta, storing frozen meats and other food products. At the time, it was known as Valhmor Borg Import/Export Co. Ltd.

The company employs over 180 people and operates from Pinto Cold Stores, in Marsa, where it has a refrigeration capacity of over 3,000 pallets. Its clients include most of Malta’s top hotels, restaurants and large retail outlets.

The company also caters for military, cruise and cargo ship requirements and offers contract catering to government departments and hospitals.

Throughout the past 45 years, Valhmor has tried and tested every avenue, making valuable connections, building great working relationships and gaining favourable terms with a vast network of reliable suppliers in 35 countries worldwide.
