Malta’s beloved Busy Bee has announced it will be opening its latest outlet in the bustling location of the Strand Towers, at No.35, The Strand, Sliema. The building is known for housing the Tom Tailor retail stores.

While Busy Bee only teased the announcement through their social media without giving any details, the Strand Towers building has been recognised, and the company has also confirmed that it is the new location for its newest outlet.

No details about when the public can expect to find it open have been shared, however.

Established in 1933, Busy Bee counts itself among Malta’s historic cafes and catering establishments, having been a permanent fixture on the local scene for decades.

Currently, the local confectionary and event caterer is present at its most recent outlet in Mriehel and its original coffee shop in Msida – which also boasts a gelateria. The confectionary will now be entering the Sliema market, where, under pre-COVID conditions, footfall from tourists and retailers makes it a highly sought after location.
