Jonna Danlund, Head of Sustainability at Betsson Group, has been recognised in iGaming Business’s list of Most Influential Women.
Betsson Group shared the news on LinkedIn, explaining that she was recognised for “her outstanding leadership in championing environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives”.
iGaming Business (iGB) is a UK-based publication that shares gambling news, data, in-depth analysis, interviews, and webinars across its digital and print channels. The publication has been active for over 20 years.
Now in its sixth year, iGB's Most Influential Women initiative seeks to celebrate the many women who are "making a difference by influencing change within their workplaces and across the wider industry". For this instalment of the list, Ms Danlund was also joined by Betfred Group CEO Joanne Whittaker and Anaxi COO Cath Burns.
“Jonna [Ms Danlund] is the driving force behind Betsson’s Sustainability Framework, comprised of five crucial focus areas: responsible gaming, business compliance, employee impact, social impact, and climate impact – each with long-term goals and KPIs,” said Betsson Group.
Ms Danlund highlighted that in today's iGaming world, every organisation needs a platform to "help promote and support talent". "Just like with any project, you need to have a unified philosophy and goals to drive the company forward," she added.
Ms Danlund emphasised that sustainability is a collective effort and its not a one-woman show. “On the contrary, it’s all the competent people at Betsson who drive sustainability within their respective fields, where diversity is one such key area.”
Additionally, the group also announced that Maria Loumpourdi, its Head of Talent Development, was also listed as iGB’s list of Four Women to Watch.
