The Betsson Group has appointed Andrew McCue, a former Chief Executive Officer at Paddy Power, as non-executive director with immediate effect.

During his 10-year stint at Paddy Power, Mr McCue had a number of roles, including Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer. He also served in senior roles, including head, in the bookmaker’s UK retail business.

Mr McCue had joined Paddy Power in 2006, becoming CEO in 2015, and then serving as COO briefly in 2016, when he left to join The Restaurant Group as CEO, relinquishing his post last summer. He also served at Hostelworld.

The Group’s Annual General Meeting, held in Stockholm yesterday, re-elected Patrick Svensk as chairman of the Board of Directors. Fredrik Carlsson, Eva Leach, Johan Lundberg and Jan Nord were confirmed as Directors.
