Alexander Barbara has been appointed as HR Business Partner at Prohealth Limited.
Sharing the announcement through its LinkedIn Page, the team at Prohealth Limited commented that Mr Barbara’s dedication to HR and commitment to continuous learning “make him an invaluable asset to the team, with skills that will significantly enhance” the workplace and team culture.
Mr Barbara has 15 years of HR experience in the tourism industry and over the years, he has acquired expertise in talent acquisition, employer branding, employee relations, and learning and development.
He spent 17 years working at FTIAS Back Office Services. Following this, he worked as a Talent and Culture Manager at Meeting Point International and it's Malta division.
FTIAS Limited and Meeting Point Malta are the subsidiaries of FTI Touristik, Europe's third-largest tour operator, which filed for insolvency in June 2024
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Marketing from the University of Malta, along with qualifications in HR practices, employment law, and workplace behaviour.
Prohealth, established in 1995, is an importer and distributor of leading pharmaceutical and dermo-cosmetic brands in Malta, Libya, and Sudan.
Its acquisition of TrioMed Ltd extended the company's coverage into the digital health technology market, representing known brands like Philips Healthcare and Hologic.
