The widely popular Dean Gera Salons is celebrating its 10-year birthday, a big milestone for the company which has now expanded to include seven salons and the Dean Gera Academy.
Taking to social media to mark the occasion, the company wrote:
“Ten years is a milestone worth celebrating. We have worked hard to build a brand that exceeds expectations, and we look forward to crossing into 2021 stronger, more resilient, and full of gratitude for the continued trust and loyalty placed in us by our clients.
“Our promise to you is that 2021 will be the year we raise the bar even further.
“So here's to another decade full of opportunity and wellbeing, with a greater appreciation for the little things.”
Dean Gera, the founder of the company, launched his brand in 2007 through the Radisson Blu salon, initially operating as a sole trader with one assistant.
For the next three years, Mr Gera focused on building a strong reputation and client base. The high demand for Dean Gera services propelled the opening of two new salons at the Corinthia St George’s Bay and the Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa, Attard, and by the end of 2010, the Dean Gera company was incorporated.
In 2016, Mr Gera’s sister & brother, Nicole & Greg, joined the family business and took over their mother’s salon, Mode Hairdressing in Ibragg.
Since then they have moved to open another two salons, with the most recent being the Pierre Camille salon in Sliema, and the Phoenicia Hotel salon in Floriana.
In 2019 the Dean Gera Academy was launched through this family partnership and is used as the main training headquarters for all employees.
Nicole has taken the leading role as head of Education whilst Greg is a silent partner dealing with the back-end running of the business.
Together, they continue to drive the business forward and develop it into what has become Malta’s leading hair-care brand.
