Reuben Abela has announced that he has joined Xace as its CEO as part of the company’s growth journey.
“The company has been positioning itself as a go-to provider in a number of under-banked sectors, especially the gambling and gaming space,” Mr Abela wrote.
Xace was established in 2020 and is a multi-licensed, global payment account provider offering multicurrency and multiple banking rails to different gaming firms.
Although the company is based in the UK, its services are also available locally and it is the official payment provider to the Malta National Football team and the Malta Football Association (MFA).
In Mr Abela's announcement, he also bid farewell to Lidion Bank (formerly known as AgriBank), where he had been working for the past 10 months in his role as Chief Operations Officer.
“A small note to thank all my colleagues at Lidion who have been fantastic during my time there and I wish them the very best for their exciting future,” he concluded.
