After studying International Banking and Finance as well as Accountancy, Reuben Xuereb started his career at KPMG and, following a brief stint, was appointed CFO of First International Merchant Bank plc, the first foreign currency denominated bank in Malta.

During his six year tenure at the Bank, Reuben led its listing on the Malta Stock Exchange, and was responsible for the acquisition and integration of a newly acquired forfaiting and factoring company that was listed on the London Stock Exchange. During this time, he spent over 18 months in the UK.

“In 2003 I moved to the Middle East to head a Real Estate Investment Fund listed on the Kuwaiti and Bahraini Stock Exchange. Throughout my years in the Middle East, I was responsible for real estate investment and development in the region,” he tells WhosWho.mt.

Reuben has been an Executive Director of the Corinthia Group since 2005, being responsible for raising new capital, overseeing the development of a number of overseas projects and leading Mediterranean Investments Holding plc as CEO.

For the last 11 years, he acted as Chairman and later also as CEO of QPM Ltd, a design, engineering and management company.

“I am passionate about real estate development, particularly master-planning and the execution of projects throughout the entire design, engineering and management phase.”
