A scientist by academic training, Dino Mangion has a Doctorate degree in organic chemistry.

“I have been working in the pharmaceutical industry for 17 years, initially in research and development roles and, subsequently, in higher managerial roles,” he says.

As Head of Malta Operations at Medichem and Combino Pharm, Dr Mangion is responsible for the operation of the two pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, dedicated to active pharmaceutical ingredients and solid oral finished dosage forms respectively.

He led the company through the harmonisation of operations between Medichem and Combino Pharm and his strategy is to increase the synergies between the two sites and the key advantages of Malta for manufacturers.
