Christian Sammut has been the Chief Executive Officer of BMIT Technologies plc, one of Malta’s leading IT providers, since August 2011 when GO plc fully acquired the company.

During his tenure at BMIT, the company transformed itself into Malta’s leading data centre, cloud and managed services provider, with customers ranging from some of the world’s largest online gaming operators, to a variety of professional services providers, financial institutions and various other organisations.

“In 2019 I was responsible for BMIT’s successful listing on the local stock exchange, as a result of which 49 per cent of the company is today owned by the general public and a number of institutional investors, Ing Sammut shares.

To date, the company has continued to grow year-on-year with the objective of further local and international expansion in the coming years.

“Prior to the above, I held various positions at GO plc including that of Chief of Strategy and Business Development, as well as other positions at MITTS and the Dowty Group, following an assignment overseas within the aerospace industry. I graduated in engineering in 1989 from the University of Malta and soon after obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from Brunel University,” he concludes.
