Professional development often begins with a question your organisation cannot answer alone. How should you test an assumption? What can your data tell you? Where could automation make a difference?
User Stories creates opportunities to explore those questions in Malta. Established by Stefano Ellul and Charlene Cassar, the community connects professionals across product, technology, design, data and AI through meetups, webinars and workshops.
Across past guests and upcoming speakers, the programme brings experience from organisations including GameLounge, Spotify, Ericsson, Virgin Active and Forbes Advisor.
Travelling overseas for professional events can involve hundreds or thousands of euros in flights, accommodation and admission fees. Bringing practitioners to Malta gives professionals access to their expertise without that travel commitment.
The opportunity extends to discussing constraints, challenging assumptions and considering how lessons from another organisation might translate to your own.
Two November workshops develop this practical focus.
The Product Experimentation Workshop powered by LeanConvert takes place on 3 November. Kam Zubairi brings experience from Forbes Advisor and Jellyfish, where he led optimisation programmes for brands including Suzuki, YOOX, Net-a-Porter and Plusnet. Participants will examine how customer needs and commercial opportunities can become structured experiments, using hypotheses, measurement and interpretation to inform investment decisions.
The AI Agents Workshop follows on 24 November. Prof John Abela of the University of Malta introduces artificial intelligence and language models, while DataTalks.Club founder Alexey Grigorev guides participants through constructing a functioning coding agent.
These sessions address two professional challenges: deciding which ideas merit resources and understanding how emerging technology works in practice.
For professionals and enthusiasts interested in tech, product, design, data and artificial intelligence, including founders and specialists, User Stories offers a setting for focused learning and exchange with peers beyond their organisation.
Visit userstories.mt to review the programmes, assess which workshop suits your interests and experience, and reserve your place for a day of learning alongside fellow practitioners.
