Trident Estates plc on Friday announced the demise of Director and former Vice Chairman Vincent Curmi.

Mr Curmi, who passed away on Tuesday, had served as Director of the company ever since it was incorporated back in 2000. He had also held the post of Vice Chairman since October 2017.

Aside from his work at Trident Estates, he was also Founding Partner of Vincent Curmi & Associates (VCA), an auditing and accountancy firm.

VCA’s team expressed its condolences earlier this week, stating that his “visionary leadership” and “enduring contributions” to the firm will be remembered with profound respect.

Mr Curmi was also appointed to the Board of Directors of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc between 1978 and 2015, whereby he occupied the post of Vice Chairman between 2003 and 2015.

For the major part of his career, he has worked in public practice. He was a Fellow Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and a Certified Public Accountant.

Many took to social media to express their condolences, with those who worked with him stating that he was a “super mentor” and a “true gentleman”.

His funeral service will take place on Tuesday 19th December at 2pm at the Divine Mercy Sanctuary in San Pawl tat-Tarġa.
