On this Friday’s episode of The Boardroom, Labour Party MEP and Vice President of the Socialists and Democrats Group for the European Green Deal, Miriam Dalli, will be fielding questions about what this deal is really all about.
Airing on Friday at 2pm live on WhosWho.mt’s Facebook page, presenter and business-writer Jo Caruana will sit down with Dr Dalli to understand how Malta can benefit from a European Green Deal, and whether attitudes towards the environment have changed since the advent of COVID.
The Green Deal is a comprehensive plan to turn the EU economy into a stronger, sustainable engine for society. It includes goals, such as a carbon-neutral EU by 2050.
European industry only recycles 12 per cent of its materials. Is the Maltese government obliged to help local industry to improve this statistic by innovating and thereby become valuable players in the green economy, or will all funding come from the EU?
Which areas of Maltese business stand to gain the most from the Green Deal? What can they do to maximise this advantage?
Do any business sectors run the risk of a negative effect? What can they do to minimise this risk?
Tune in this Friday to watch the full interview
