Simonds Farsons Cisk plc has recently announced the appointment of Michael Farrugia as Deputy Chief Executive for the Beverage Business.

In his new role, Mr Farrugia will be working closely with Norman Aquilina, Group Chief Executive in the overall running of the Group’s Beverage Business.

He will also continue to assume direct responsibility for Operations, The Brewhouse and International Business Development. This appointment is part of the Group’s strategic plans for further growth and development, Farsons said in an announcement.

Mr Farrugia is a third generation Executive Director with 15 years’ experience in the Food and Beverages industry.

He first joined Farsons Group in 2006 as an Export Executive and went on to occupy a number of roles in business development over the 16 years he has worked with the Group.

Farsons Group is a household name on the island engaged in the brewing, production, sale and distribution of branded beers and beverages, the importation wholesale and retail of food and beverages, including wines and spirits, the operation of franchised food retailing establishments as well as property development.
