Rebekah Tanti-Dougall has been appointed Secretary of the European Network of Civil Aviation Safety Investigation Authorities (ENCASIA), following her nomination for the role by Chief Inspector of the Bureau of Air Accident Investigation (BAAI Malta), Captain Frank Zammit.

Dr Tanti-Dougall has been selected by the European Safety Investigation Authorities and will be serving in this role for the next three years. Remi Jouty, Chairperson of ENCASIA, said that the experience and legal basis that Dr Tanti-Dougall has will be of great benefit to ENCASIA.

As part of her work, she will be responsible for coordinating the meetings within ENCASIA, the agendas of the plenary meeting in Brussels, the coordination of the existing working groups within ENCASIA, and external communication with other civil aviation organisations such as ICAO and EASA.

Over the last few years Dr Tanti-Dougall served as a legal adviser within BAAI Malta.

Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg congratulated Dr Rebekah Tanti-Dougall for on her new role.
