Business Profile
I am a conservator-restorer with 16 years of experience in the field of cultural heritage. I am specialised in the restoration of canvas paintings, panels, wall paintings and decorative surfaces of the architecture. With a passion for art and scientific research on materials and technologies for cultural heritage, I am co-author of various scientific publications, among them "The activity of Filippo Paladini in Vizzini (Catania)" and "Limits in the restoration of historical organs", both drawing on my Bachelor's and Master's research.
Currently, I cover the role of Curator and Chief Conservator for the St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation, with the aim of managing the collection, the artefacts and the interior of the complex of St John’s Co-Cathedral and its museum through a scientific and multidisciplinary approach.
The mission is to ensure the conservation and the valorisation of cultural heritage by preserving its material authenticity and expressive complexity, allowing its transmission to future generations. The works are carried out in contact with unique and original artefacts, which testify to ideal, ethical, religious, artistic, historical or social values such as: sculptures, monuments, paintings, frescoes, decorative architectural surfaces, manuscripts, historical objects, textiles, etc.
