Paul Gauci, one of Malta’s leading entrepreneurs and the majority shareholder of PG plc which owns and operates Pavi supermarket and the PAMA shopping village, is currently in negotiations to acquire the popular and sought-after Mediterranean marina at the southern Sicilian town of Marina di Ragusa, known as Porto Turistico.
According to reliable sources, the acquisition, if it materialises, will be made via Mr Gauci’s investment company, PG Group.
WhosWho.mt reached out to Mr Gauci for confirmation but the leading local retailer would not comment. This newsroom is however informed of the talks through a number of reputable industry sources close to the discussions.
Porto Turistico Marina di Ragusa
The marina, known as Porto Turistico and located in the popular Sicilian seaside resort of Marina di Ragusa, is known for its modern facilities and strategic location, and is also protected by an 800-metre inner breakwater.
