MMH Malta Ltd (MMH) has been awarded the prestigious HR Quality Mark by the Foundation for Human Resources Development (FHRD), recognising its commitment to professional people management, employee development and a positive working environment.

The recognition follows an independent evaluation of the company’s human resources practices. For a business operating across the specialised marine, oil and gas industries, it highlights the importance of developing and supporting the people behind its operations.
Ruth Zahra, Head of HR and Training, said: “We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition from FHRD. It means a great deal to us because it acknowledges the effort and commitment that have gone into developing our people practices and creating a workplace where employees feel supported and appreciated.
“For me, HR has always been about people first. It is about listening, understanding, being fair and giving individuals the opportunity to develop and succeed. Working in such a diverse and specialised environment brings challenges, but it is also what makes our work so rewarding.”
“We also know there is always more we can do. This recognition encourages us to continue improving, keep listening to our people and build on what we have achieved together.”
MMH invests in technical training, professional development, educational partnerships and internal career opportunities, helping employees progress while building the expertise needed to meet the industry’s demands.
Employee wellbeing is another priority. Initiatives supporting physical and mental health complement a strong health and safety culture, open communication and efforts to promote a healthy work-life balance wherever operationally possible.
Under Ruth’s leadership, the HR team works closely with management and employees to put these commitments into practice. The award marks a milestone in this work being done by the Team, with continued attention being given to both individual growth and the company’s long-term development.
