Ta’ Frenċ restaurant in Xagħra is turning a new chapter in its history as long-standing administrators Thomas Curmi and Joseph Tabone have taken over the highly-rated eatery, which has been in operation for over 30 years.

Ta’ Frenċ was last February recognised by the Michelin Guide with the Michelin Plate, indicating that it serves high quality food.

In a statement posted to Facebook, the restaurant said the new owners “have taken over the Hidden Gem of Ta’ Frenċ from its previous owner to continue the legacy”, noting that both have worked passionately at Ta’ Frenċ for many years and appreciate all it has to offer.

The new owners called on patrons to continue supporting them, in the hope that they “will accomplish their goal of offering Michelin Plate rated meals at affordable prices to be enjoyed by all”.
