Verbena, a restaurant located in the Żebbiegħ area of Mġarr, was awarded Bib Gourmand status in the latest edition of the Malta Michelin Guide.

Run by chef Manuel Schembri, Verbena serves Mediterranean cuisine with a local focus, including cheese sourced from sheep farmers in the area.

The Bib Gourmand is a prestigious award in the annual Michelin Guide in acknowledgement of restaurants which serve high-quality food at a great value.

Verbena joins AYU, Grain Street, Rubino, and Commando on this list, while Terrone has been removed.

There wasn’t any movement in terms of stars.

ION Harbour by Simon Rogan maintained its spot as the only Maltese establishment with two Michelin stars.

Fernandõ Gastrotheque, De Mondion, Noni, Rosamì, Under Grain, and Le GV all retained their single stars.
