Michael J. Agius has announced that he is starting a new position at Hili Ventures as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions.

Headquartered in Malta, Hili Ventures is the holding company of a diversified group dating back to 1923.

Through its divisions, Hili Ventures is engaged in multi-sited activities with McDonald’s and Apple, logistics, marine & engineering, technology, oil & gas, property, hospitality and leasing in 10 countries across Central, Eastern and Western Europe, and North Africa.

As an organisation, Hili Ventures is active on the merger and acquisitions front. Earlier this month, subsidiary company Hili Properties secured the remaining 25 per cent shareholding of a major office complex in Bucharest, Romania known as MIRO.

Last year, Hili Ventures subsidiaries acquired Poland’s largest Apple retailer, and added 11 new McDonald’s outlets to its portfolio.

Michael joined the company in 2021 as Director of Finance for Major Projects, after serving at Grant Thornton Malta for a period of nine years.
