MB Consult and Malta Football Players Association (MFPA) have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, paving the way for new opportunities for players seeking to acquire new skills.

Announcing the partnership on Facebook, FB Consult Founder and CEO Martin Borg said it will “lead to meaningful action for football players in Malta”.

On the part of MFPA, the organisation said that since its inception, it has “promoted dual career pathways and provided various opportunities for members to further their education”.

“The exciting partnership” with MB Consult, it commented, comes in the wake of a survey it carried out that showed that “many players” were keen on “acquiring more skills in various sectors, from sports to business and also trades”.

MB Consult is a firm providing education and training solutions to entities seeking to enter the education and training market.

The partnership with MFPA is not its first to provide sports-related education services.

According to its website, the company also has a partnership with Leeds United College "to provide educational programmes for [the] football community in Malta, in addition to one with Ahead in Malta to offer an Applied Football Studies BSc (Hons) to students in Malta.
