Marie-Louise Mangion has been appointed Head of the Department of Policy, Politics and Governance at the University of Malta (UM) effective 1st October.
Dr Mangion is a Senior Lecturer within the Department, which forms part of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy (FEMA), and currently also serves as Deputy Dean of the Faculty.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a B.A. (Hons) in Economics from UM, and later completed her PhD at the University of Nottingham.
Her teaching and research span a number of areas, with a particular focus on tourism policy, evidence-based policy-making and good governance. Dr Mangion has also been actively engaged in mentoring and supporting doctoral candidates through the UM Doctoral School.
