Malta-founded payroll platform has officially been acquired by UK payroll market leader Moorepay.

Founded in Malta in 2018 by Jonathan Mifsud and David Seisun, Buddy started operating in the UK payroll market in 2023.

It was acquired by Moorepay earlier this year, with its team and technology integrated into the UK company, and Mr Mifsud taking on the position of Product Director.

Existing Buddy customers continue to use the same software and work with the same team, only with Moorepay branding.

Moorepay CEO Anthony Vollmer said the company is delighted with the acquisition.
