Malta Properties Company plc (MPC) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Sayed Mohamed Mohamed Noor Sharaf as Chairman of the company with immediate effect.

According to a company profile of the United Arab Emirates resident, Mr Sharaf is the CEO of Arab Media Group, the media and entertainment arm of Dubai Holding, and is responsible for spearheading AMG’s mission to be a leading media and entertainment business in the Middle East.

The announcement, posted on the Malta Stock Exchange, details how the outgoing Chairman, Deepak S. Padmanabhan, has resigned with immediate effect but is retaining his position as company Director.

MPC owns a portfolio of office buildings and industrial properties, which are leased out to blue chip tenants “with secure long duration leases,” according to its website.

Listing its high-profile clients, the company highlights the following tenants: GO plc, Epic (formerly Vodafone Malta ltd), the Planning Authority, the Finco Group of Companies and HSBC Global Services.
