Kristina Agius, an experienced hospitality professional, has been promoted to Director of Sales at fine dining and events venue, Palazzo Parisio.

Announcing the achievement on social media late last week, she celebrated, saying: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Director of Sales at Palazzo Parisio!”.

Ms Agius previously served as Head of Sales at the venue for two and a half years, since October 2019. Prior to that, she was a Sales Manager at IBB Hotel Collection.

Before that, she spent an extended stint at Hilton Hotel Malta, most recently as Leisure Sales Manager and Assistant Head of Department.

It comes as the venue undergoes a period of transition, following the passing of matriarch Baroness Christiane Ramsay Scicluna late last year.

Ms Agius’s promotion was welcomed by a large number of prominent members of Malta’s hospitality industry who congratulated her on social media, with many calling the appointment “well deserved.”

After an extended period dominated by the COVID pandemic, which had a ruinous effect on the hospitality industry, Ms Agius will hope she can help shepherd the respected venue as the sector begins to recover and the pandemic begins to recede.
