JCI Malta recently announced that it will be hosting a special lapel pin design competition to celebrate 30 years since the non-profit organisation was launched.

The initiative, sponsored by Corporate Gifts Malta, is an opportunity for local artists, graphic designers, amateur drawers, and art enthusiasts to contribute to the celebration of the anniversary.

The competition aims to encapsulate the spirit and legacy of JCI Malta over the past three decades in the form of a collectible pin.

JCI Malta

JCI Malta forms part of Junior Chamber International, a global non-profit organisation that seeks to create positive change by developing young leaders and entrepreneurs.

JCI Malta has been at the forefront of nurturing young leaders and promoting positive change in communities across Malta for 30 years. As part of this year’s celebrations, JCI Malta is inviting local creative talents to design a commemorative pin that will be distributed and cherished by JCI members worldwide.

Participants are encouraged to submit original designs that focus on what Malta means to them, leadership, diversity and togetherness, all elements that the organisation aims to display in its endeavours.

The winning design will be produced and credited to the artist, who will also receive a special prize.

The competition is open to all Maltese and Gozitan residents aged 18 and over. Participants under 18 require parental consent. Each participant can submit multiple designs.

The deadline for submission is 15th August 2024, with the format of the design needing to be in JPEG, PNG, or PDF formats. Designs can be submitted on JCI Malta’s website.

A panel of judges from JCI Malta will then evaluate the submissions based on creativity, originality, and relevance to the anniversary theme. The winner will be announced on 31st August 2024, and their design will be featured prominently across JCI Malta’s platforms, with full credit given to the artist.

Additionally, the winning artist’s work will be linked to JCI Malta’s website or social media where applicable.

“We are incredibly excited to see the creativity of our community and how they interpret our 30-year legacy through their designs,” JCI Malta National President Florence Vermeiren said.

“This pin will be a cherished symbol of our journey and the bright future ahead,” she continued.
