1923 Investments plc, a public company with a majority shareholding held by Hili Ventures Ltd, is finalising negotiations to acquire the Polish company Cortland Sp.z o.o, which is active in the field of sale, distribution and service of electronic products and accessories.

The deal is expected to be closed by the end of next week, according to a company update posted on the Malta Stock Exchange.

Cortland was set up in 1992, when it opened the first Apple store in Poland, on a shopping street in Poznań.

Its website states that “during 25 years of existence, Cortland has delivered and implemented complete graphic systems throughout the country in several thousand DTP, Prepress and architectural design companies.”

The company currently has branches in Poznań, Warsaw, Katowice, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Gliwice, Bielsko-Biała, Rzeszów and Tychy.

In addition to the latest Apple products and a wide range of accessories, Cortland provides complete, integrated graphics systems, focused primarily on comprehensive services for graphic design studios, publishing houses and newspapers, advertising agencies, prepress, and architectural studios.

Another important element of the activity is also the service of the education and public sector.

1923 Investments is a holding company for a number of business ventures. These include Harvest Technology, Hili Logistics, STS Marine Solutions, E-Lifecycle Holdings, and iSpot.
