Hector Spiteri, a Certified Public Accountant and former President of the Malta Institute of Management, has passed away.
Mr Spiteri was a seasoned professional with over 50 years of experience in his field. Apart from being a Certified Public Accountant, he was also a Practising Auditor, and a Certified Forensic Accountant. Throughout his distinguished career, he served in numerous prominent roles, including Senior Partner at the audit firm Busuttil & Micallef.
He also served as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Malta and Honorary Treasurer of the Malta Tourism Society.
In addition to these positions, he held various appointments on the boards of several Public Limited Companies and was entrusted with a number of responsibilities by the Law Courts of Malta.
He is remembered by his family as not only a devoted husband and father, but also as a wise and humble man who helped many throughout his career, Mr Spiteri’s passing has been met with heartfelt tributes from all who knew him.
“Hector wasn’t only a husband and a father, but he was also a professional who helped so many people with his knowledge, wisdom and with great humility,” a family member wrote. “He will be sorely missed, but we are at peace in knowing that he gave us his all and we gave him ours till his very last breaths. His legacy will live on in his three children.”
His funeral will be held on 28th June at 9:00am, at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, followed by interment at the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery, new area, rear entrance.
