Seasoned human resources (HR) specialist Gabriella Farrugia has joined Malta-based digital marketing agency Blue Window Ltd as HR Manager, she shared on Tuesday.

Her new role comes after she bid farewell to Advent Lifts Services Ltd last week following four years as HR Manager. She described her time at the company as “the most beautiful and most meaningful” of her professional career so far, and "truly loved every minute of it”.

“We’ve grown, we’ve changed, we’ve thrived, we’ve evolved, and we’ve come very far,” she added. She thanked Advent Lifts Services and all those at the company, before adding that she is “looking forward to start writing a new chapter” in her professional career by delving into a new industry.

Prior to this, Ms Farrugia served in a number of roles within the HR department of safety and security company Alberta over more than three years, including as HR Manager. Additionally, she also spent more than a year as HR Trainee at Marriott Hotels in Brussels during her studies.

Ms Farrugia also served as Administrative Receptionist at Valletta Gateway Terminals Ltd for almost five years, during which she was responsible for maintaining sick and vacation leave records, overtime requests, travel bookings, apart from other tasks.

Among her various qualifications, she holds a Master of Science in Occupational Psychology degree from Coventry University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Work and Human Resources degree from University of Malta. She was also awarded a City and Guilds Train the Trainer certification from MISCO Malta, as well as a Diploma in Hotel Management from Institute of Tourism Studies.
