Renowned events catering company Bonaci Caterers has announced the passing of Founder and family patriarch Croce Bonaci.
Marking his passing on social media, his son Shawn Bonaci wrote he passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
“Forever in our hearts, fly high legend.”
Croce Bonaci was renowned for his Valletta confectionary, and tributes have poured in from prominent figures on the local scene, including from Deputy Mayor Ray Azzopardi, along with politicians such as Minister for European & Foreign Affairs Evarist Bartolo.
Another mourner to mark his departure was nature reserve L-Arka taʼ Noè, which described him as an “extraordinary man,” and a “great contributor to the catering industry.”
In September, Mr Bonaci was diagnosed as suffering from an aggressive brain tumour. He subsequently received the assistance of the Dar Bjorn foundation, and appeared on a telethon describing his experience to raise money for the charity.
“Forever in our hearts. May he rest in peace,” announced another local eatery Il Cortile Wine & Dine.
