Esports Entertainment Group, Inc, which has offices in Birkirkara, saw its shares rise by 30 per cent just days after it announced it was granted a gaming service licence for online pool betting by the Malta Gaming Authority.
Esports Entertainment Group Chief Executive Officer, Grant Johnson described the MGA gaming licence as another major milestone achievement for his company.
Recalling that Esports Entertainment, an online gambling company with a focus on esports wagering and 18+ gaming, had just signed a binding letter of intent to acquire Argyll Entertainment, the CEO said it was now in the early stages of executing an aggressive growth plan that contemplates both organic and acquisition growth strategies throughout 2020. The Malta licence will be an “important part” of such growth plan, he remarked.
Esports Entertainment is the first online gambling company trading on an American stock exchange (Nasdaq, under the symbol GMBL).
