As teachers and students had to content with switching to online and digital learning, managers and decision-takers of educational and training organisations also had to quickly adapt their strategies and plans.

In Episode 19 of The Boardroom, airing tomorrow at 2pm on WhosWho.mt’s Facebook page, presenter and business-writer Jo Caruana will be joined by Bernadine Mizzi – Director at Chiswick House School and St Martin’s College, Charles Theuma – Principal at St Martin’s Institute of Higher Education and Robyn Pratt – Managing Director at Impact Consulting.

While Chiswick House School, St Martin’s College and St Martin’s Institute are well-established educational centres, Impact Consulting advises on a range of areas, such as hospitality, brand building, as well as development and training. Its training programmes are geared towards those in leadership roles.

Questions have now been raised as to whether digital learning will be here-to-stay, and how this has impacted educators’ ability to reach students.

The World Economic Forum states that globally, over 1.2 billion children in 186 countries were out of the classroom during the height of COVID-19. With plans in place for students to return come September, what will the classroom look like? Will a greater focus on digital skills be emphasised? For firms such as Impact Consulting – will a greater emphasis on upskilling be made in their training programmes?
