DataByte today announced the appointment of Kevin Camilleri as its new CEO, who succeeded Frederick Micallef as from the beginning of this month.
Frederick will continue to support the company in an advisory role as well as in his capacity as an executive director.
“For more than thirty years, DataByte has worked closely with its customers to build solid and reliable solutions that have a considerable following with both local and international businesses.
“It therefore makes sense for us to plan for continuity and invest in our long-term strategy. I am confident that the DataByte Team will continue to deliver under Kevin’s leadership.” said Frederick Micallef.
Kevin has worked in the IT industry for more than twenty years, with extensive experience in corporate networks and infrastructure, business process engineering and software architecture.
He volunteers a Global Consultant for Strategy and Good Governance with the World Organisation of the Scout Movement, and until recently served as a Committee Member and later Chairperson for the European Scout Region for the past six years.
Kevin shared his thoughts on the way forward: “In an ever-changing business landscape, DataByte needs to retain its agility and ability to respond to the needs of its customers quickly and effectively.
"This is what differentiates us from other software companies and gives us our edge. We will do this by continuing to invest in people, expanding the reach and flexibility of our products, and by continuing to put customer support and assurance first.”
DataByte is a local software development company focusing on cloud-based human resource management solutions.
