Corinthia Budapest, owned by International Hotel Investments plc, has been voted the Leading Hotel in Hungary by industry insiders and consumers during the 27th annual World Travel Awards, known as the “Oscars” of the travel and tourism industry.

General Manager Jonathan Pace took to LinkedIn to thank all clients, partners and staff for their contribution.

“It has been a tough year,” he said, “and we are looking forward to host many guests again when all this will be over.”

“We will come out stronger!” he insisted.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.

Tourism operators can nominate themselves for the award or be commended by World Travel Awards representatives. Voting is open to the public and to industry professional.

The 2020 Awards saw a record number of votes cast by the public.
