Bank of Valletta has informed customers that its Żurrieq Branch will be temporarily closed as from Wednesday, 21st October, until further notice, since a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

The branch will be thoroughly sanitised and will reopen once it is ascertained safe to do so for the safety and well-being of customers and staff.

The Health Authority will contact those individuals who might have been exposed to the contagion as part of their contact tracing protocol.

The Night Safe facility of this Branch will be unavailable until further notice.

In addition, the bank’s Gżira and Marsa branches are back in service as of today, Wednesday 21st October.

The branches were temporarily closed after third parties tested positive for COVID-19.

Qormi and Żabbar Branches remain closed due to COVID-19 cases, while the Ħamrun Branch is offering limited services.

Prior to visiting a BOV Branch, customers are encouraged to check whether their branch has been impacted by clicking here.

The bank, in a statement, said it regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers.

Staying Safe

Customers are encouraged to limit the risk of contagion by using the Bank’s wide network of ATMs, BOV Internet Banking, BOV Mobile Banking, BOV Pay and BOV Cards for their banking and payment needs.

In order to avoid waiting in queues and increase risk of exposure, customers requiring non-cash related services such as home loans, personal loans, investments, account opening and applications for new internet banking services are kindly asked to set an appointment with their preferred branch by calling on 2131 2020 or sending an email to [email protected].
