AX Group has announced that Claire Zammit Xuereb has been appointed Director of AX Care, the Group’s healthcare business division.

Since 2003, Ms Zammit Xuereb has been at the helm of Hotel Operations at AX Group, a position she will continue to hold in addition to her new duties with AX Care.

“Our Board of Directors is pleased to introduce a leader of Ms Zammit Xuereb’s calibre to grow our community in Naxxar and to foster collaborations that will broaden our healthcare reach within the local community,” said Group CEO Michael Warrington.

Under Ms Zammit Xuereb’s stewardship, AX Hotels has grown to operate a highly regarded portfolio of seven hotels and 14 restaurants.

Highlight properties under the AX Hotels brand include the 5-star Rosselli AX Privilege boutique hotel in Valletta, the 5-star AX The Palace in Sliema, and the Michelin-starred Under Grain restaurant in Valletta.

In addition to her directorship duties at AX Hotels and AX Care, Ms Zammit Xuereb sits on the Executive Board of AX Group and has held various positions within the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association and the ITS Board of Governors.

She is also the Chairperson of AX Foundation, a non-profit organisation that assists persons living with invisible disabilities.

Ms Zammit Xuereb is the daughter of AX Group Founder Angelo Xuereb.
