RSM Malta has announced the appointment of Albertine Farrugia Sacco as Audit Principal strengthening the firm’s leadership team. With a strong background in external audit, she will support the firm’s partners by acting as a signing principal for financial statements and other assurance engagements and by overseeing audit engagements.
In her new role, Ms Farrugia Sacco will be responsible for client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure audit processes are conducted with due diligence and independence. She will also lead and mentor audit teams, ensuring compliance with auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies. Her appointment underscores RSM Malta’s commitment to maintaining high audit standards and reinforcing its service offering.
A Certified Public Accountant and Auditor, Ms Farrugia Sacco has experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), and General Accounting Principles for Small and Medium-Sized Entities (GAPSME). Her career has included developing audit strategies, providing technical guidance, and fostering best practices within audit teams.

She is a Fellow Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA) and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Malta.
