Audit and assurance specialist Abdul Muqtadir has been promoted to Audit Manager at professional services firm Deloitte Malta, he announced on Monday.

His new position comes after working for two years as Assistant Manager and before that, more than a year as Audit Senior, during which he was tasked with managing audit teams effectively as well as mentoring and coaching junior team members, among other responsibilities.

Prior to his time at Deloitte’s Malta branch, he spent more than five years at its offices in Karachi, Pakistan. There he started out as Senior Audit Associate, before being promoted to Senior Tax Consultant and afterwards to Tax Executive.

Mr Muqtadir holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from Karachi University, as well as a Certificate in Accounting and Finance (CAF) and Certificate in Accounting both from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
